On 16/6/1856, they departed from the port at Southampton on board the ship "Blundell", bound for Port Adelaide. Edwin was employed as the ships constable and earned the sum of 2 pounds for the voyage. The shipping records for the "Blundell"lists,

I have entered Henry Beckett as father as Eliza worked at his house prior to Charles's death and later lived in Beckett's house after Charles's death. Under normal circumstances Eliza would have been thrown out on the street.

496 Elsa Selten nee Lustig was born in Berlin, Germany in 1887. Prior to WWII she lived in Berlin, Germany. Deported with Transport from Berlin to Eastern Europe on 26/06/1942. Elsa perished in the Shoah. This information is based on a list of deportation from Berlin found in the Gedenkbuch Berlins der juedischen Opfer des Nazionalsozialismus, Freie Universitaet Berlin, Zentralinstitut fuer sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung, Edition Hentrich, Berlin 1995

The date of death is uncertain although it appears that the Selton family were transported from Berlin 24th June 1942 and arrived in the Minsk area on the 26. At that time most transports when directly to
Maly Trostinec and the prisoners put to death almost immediately.
