The Wife and Daughter of Mr. James Henry Watling, aged 67 years, living at 'Anton' Corbally, Limerick suffered a sever shock yesterday morning, whjen they found him dead, seated in an armchair in the sitting room.
Mrs. Watling and her daughter retired to bed Sunday night leaving Mr. Watling in the sittingroom listening to the radio. When they came down yesterday morning at 7:30 o'clock they found him dead, with the machine turned on. Death ? due to heart failure.

Notes - He joined the army in 1916 but states he had been in the Navy at one time before WW1 According to his army record he work in India and China. The army paid for his passage back from Shanghai , China to the UK. After the war he went back to India with his family to work before they settled in Ireland.

Maureen married a Patrick Joseph Kennedy in Limerick in 1938 (The Marriage Cert with James Watling as Father of the Bride. He was working for the ESB (Irish Electricity Board) as an Cable Joiner working on the Electrification of Ireland at Shannon .
He died in Limerick aged 65yrs on 13.12.43. The press cutting of his death from the local Limerick Paper.
